SAVINGS
Soteria can lead to significant savings for families and their teenage driver. Soteria lowers insurance premiums for your teenage drivers by reducing accident liability.

The implementation process for Soteria is seamless and completed within seconds. Regardless of the size and type of vehicle, Soteria will improve the operational safety and savings from the moment of installation.
BE IN THE KNOW
How Soteria works
Receive alerts immediately if your teenage driver is speeding, driving recklessly, or involved in an accident.
STOP THE STAT
The leading cause of fatalities for teenagers are motor vehicle accidents.
In 2016, teenage drivers 15-19 years old represented 6.5% of the U.S. population, however, they accounted for $13.5 billion, which is 8.4% of the total cost of motor vehicle injuries. Males 16-19 years old are two times more likely to die from motor vehicle accidents than females. Teenagers 16-19 years old are three times more likely to die in a car accident than any other age group.

The features:
Below are all the features that Soteria offers in real-time simply by plugging in Soteria and creating your portal. The * symbol represents features coming soon.
GPS ROUTING
Locate the vehicle of your teenager in real time and determine their current and previously traveled routes.
ADAPTIVE SPEEDING ALERTS
Adaptive speeding alerts are sent in real time notifying parents immediately when their teenage driver exceeds the speed limit or the designated threshold set above the posted speed limit. For example, if a parent selects a threshold at 5 MPH over the posted speed limit, the parent will receive a notification when their teenage driver exceeds the speed limit by 5 MPH or more.
HARD BRAKING ALERTS
Hard braking can injure passengers and create safety and repair issues for the vehicle. Get alerts any time this occurs.
EXCESSIVE SWERVING ALERTS
You will be notified when your teen driver makes any dangerous movement, significantly reducing the risk of being involved in an accident and injured by reckless driving.
ACCIDENT ALERTS
An alert, including their pinpoint GPS location, will be sent to your emergency contacts if your teenage driver is involved in an accident.
SPEED PREVENTION*
Adaptive to each road, speed prevention allows the parent of a teenage driver to prevent the vehicle of their teenage driver from exceeding the designated speed threshold of their choice. For example, a parent can select the maximum speed a vehicle can travel to be 5 MPH above the posted speed limit of every road.
RAPID ACCELERATION ALERTS
Rapid accelerations can injure passengers and consumes fuel at a significant rate. Get alerts any time this occurs.
CELLULAR APP LOCKING*
Allows the parents of teenage drivers to select which features and apps their teenage drivers can access on their phone while driving.
MAINTENANCE DATA
Receive notifications when the check engine light appears, including any other problems, to assist in proactive maintenance.
Let's Compare
Better than Apple.
Apple introduced a new feature on the iOS platforms for iPhones and iPads to disable texting and emailing while on the road. While some may view this as a threat to the cellular prevention solution Soteria provides, others may propose it increases the value of Soteria. The new software update for Apple devices is problematic for two reasons: its inability to determine who is the driver or passengers in a teenager’s vehicle. The parent is able to select any mobile app they deem necessary for their teenage driver to access while driving.
Real speeding data.
Soteria is the only product on the market that detects every speed limit and reports actual speeding instantly. While other products and services only report the average speed or top speed of a vehicle, Soteria is the only product on the market patented to PREVENT speeding if the parent activates this feature for their teenage driver’s vehicle. Activation of this feature by the parent allows their teenager to only drive the posted speed limit if they desire, or allows selection of any MPH they will permit their teenager to exceed any posted speed limit. For example, a parent may elect to allow their teenager to exceed any posted speed limit by 5 MPH.
How it works.
To begin using Soteria, a parent simply plugs the Soteria device into the OBDII port located underneath the steering wheel column of their teenager’s vehicle. The parent then creates their own Soteria portal online to select which features and notifications they want to activate based on their preferences. The parent(s) will immediately begin receiving notifications about any unsafe driving actions by their teenage driver.
